Tihe ürituste kalender veebruaris / Let’s get busy in February
2015. aasta veebruaris on Bay Area eestlasi ootamas mitmed olulised sündmused. Kõige tähtsam on loomulikult Eesti Vabariigi 97. aastapäev, mille tähistamine toimub 21. veebruaril algusega kell 6.30 Plug and Play Tech Centeris Sunnyvale’is (täpsem info ürituse kohta tuleb peagi!).
4.-5. veebruaril saavad kohalikud eestlased erandkorras taotleda või uuendada passi ja ID-kaarti või saada kätte varem taotletud dokumente Eesti Vabariigi ajutise konsulaarmissiooni ajal USA läänekaldale. (Loe lähemalt siit)
10. veebruaril toimub UC Berkeley’s aga Kanada-Eesti dokumentaalfilmi “Keepers of the Loom” linastus, kus on võimalik kohtuda ka filmi tegijate Reet ja Tom Maega. (Vaata filmi kodulehte)

Febrary 2015 will be a busy month for the Bay Area Estonians. The most important event will be the celebration of Estonian 97th Independence Day held in Plug and Play Tech Center in Sunnyvale on February 21st at 6.30 (mark your calendars and more information will follow soon!).
On February 4th and 5th Estonian citizens will be able to apply for a passport or ID-Card, renew their passport or ID-Card, receive previously ordered documents or conduct other consular business as the Consulate General of Estonia in New York will be in the West Coast. On Tuesday, Feb 10th, there will be a special showing of new Canadian-Estonian film “Keepers of the Loom” at UC Berkeley’s 105 North Gate Hall. Film showcases Estonian womens’ stories and role of folk costume and craft. Meet the film-makers Reet and Tom Mae, and enjoy coffee and kringel. (Take a look at their website)
