Tänavune vabariigi aastapäeva pidu toimub jällegi Plug and Play Tech Centeris Sunnyvale’is (440 N. Wolfe Road). Õhtu algab kell 6:30 traditsioonilise Eesti toidu ja joogiga (kerge õhtusöök) ja kava algab kell 7. Meie erikülaliseks on Peeter Nieländer, kes on valitud rahvusvahelise ESTO 2018 presidendiks. Peeter räägib nii eesti kui inglise keeles.

Sel aastal on võimalus meie kohalike andekate eestlaste eestvedamisel laulda rahvalaule ning osaleda ühismängudes ja ka tantsida. Kui juhtud mängima mõnd pilli, ära häbene seda kaasa võtmast!

Nagu alati, saab näha vanu sõpru ning nautida suupisteid ja jooke. Loomulikult toimub ka õnneloos. Kuigi suurem osa eeskavast on mõeldud täiskasvanutele, on ka lapsed teretulnud, nende jaoks on kavas eraldi tegevused.

This year’s Independence Day celebration will again be at the Plug and Play Tech Center in Sunnyvale (440 N. Wolfe Road). Activities will commence at 6:30 PM with traditional Estonian food(light dinner) and drinks, and the program will begin at 7. Our special guest this year: Peeter Nieländer, who has been elected the 2018 worldwide ESTO celebration president. We are very excited to have Peeter, who will speak in both Estonian and English.

This year our program will also include the singing of traditional songs, led by our talented local Estonians. We will do some group games and dances, too. We invite everyone to join in! If you play an instrument, we invite you to bring it.

As always this is a wonderful time to see old friends, nosh, and enjoy the beer and wine from the no-host bar. And of course there will be a raffle. While primarily an adult evening, children are welcome, and we will have activities for them.
