The film, an Estonian production filmed in Georgia, is the story of two Estonian tangerine farmers, the last holdouts who find themselves in the middle of someone else’s civil war. The film is in Estonian and Russian with English subtitles.
Before the screening, there will be a reception starting at 4:30, featuring Estonian foods, Georgian wines, and a live performance by Piedmont Children’s Choir. The film will be shown at 6 PM, with a second showing at 7:45 (based on demand). Single showing tickets are $12, available from the Wine Country Film Festival website beginning 9/8, along with other festival pass options. Tickets will be available at the door (cash only), but it is recommended to purchase in advance as seating is limited.
