Ajalooarhiividest on välja ilmunud vanad fotod, mis kujutavad pildiallkirjade kohaselt SF Bay Area Eesti Seltsi korraldatud Lääneranniku eestlaste päevi (LEP) 1953. aastal. Muuseas võib ühel pildil kujutatud infograafikult välja lugeda, et 1950ndatel aastatel elas USA läänerannikul kokku 1628 eestlast, neist 642 SF Bay Areas. San Francisco lahe ümbrus on seega olnud ajalooliselt eestlaste jaoks omamoodi tõmbekeskuseks.

Some old photos have emerged, apparently from the 1953 West Coast Estonian Days, first ever organized by SF Bay Area Estonian Society. One of the pictures depicts a chart claiming that there were 1628 Estonians living on the West Coast US in 1950s, 642 of whom lived in SF Bay Area.
